Our History
In 1990 we set up shop in the Merrifield area of Fairfax County, where we stayed for 18 years. At that point we recognized a change in our industry and a subsequent need to have a facility capable of meeting that demand. We purchased a new building in Herndon, Virginia, that was essentially an empty shell, and customized it to our liking.
Structural & Contents Restoration Services
The first phase of our business is helping people evaluate and mitigate damage when disaster strikes. Step one is to send our IICRC-certified technicians (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) to your location to provide the following restoration services:
Demolition and removal of burnt or wet materials
Structural cleaning
Decontamination and deodorization
Soda blasting
Rest assured, we will remove all smoke odors from your home before any finishes are put back, which is the key to successful restoration.
Pack-out & Storage
The second phase of our business revolves around pack-outs, or storage, which is the rapidly growing segment of the market that we mentioned above. It complements the restoration services we perform at your home.
A pack-out is the process of removing salvageable, damaged property from a home or business and bringing it to RestorTech to be cleaned, decontaminated, deodorized, repaired, and stored. Our new, state-of-the-art personal property processing facility is where this all occurs. We outfitted it with separate service areas for processing boxed goods, furniture, and textiles. With nearly 25,000-square- feet of floor space and 25-foot-high ceilings, it gives us the capability to utilize containerized storage more efficiently to properly keep each customer’s property isolated.
We encourage our customers to stop by and see how the plant operates and to talk to the people running the various departments. Transparency is key in building trust with our customers. Insurance losses that do not require pack-outs means that we do all of the work right in your home: smoke and odor removal from small fires, furnace malfunctions, structural drying from water damage, mold remediation, and any other form of disastrous event. Customer satisfaction is our No.1 goal. Of course, the implementation of effective restoration procedures is one way to achieve customer satisfaction.
